Manufacturing

Keep production lines running and secure

Manufacturers now run factories on networks that used to be isolated. We secure the connection between office IT and plant operational technology, monitor both around the clock, and prepare you for customer and defense supply-chain requirements, all without interrupting production.

Sector pressures

What makes IT different here

  • Downtime costs by the minute

A halted line stops revenue and delays customers. Attacks that spread from office systems into the plant turn an IT incident into a production crisis.

  • Flat networks and old equipment

Controllers and machines often run unsupported software and sit on networks with little separation. They cannot simply be patched or replaced.

  • Supply-chain security demands

Customers, especially in defense and automotive, increasingly require proof of cybersecurity from suppliers before awarding or renewing contracts.

  • Many sites, one standard

Acquisitions and growth leave each plant with different tools and practices, so security and support vary from site to site.

Regulations & frameworks

The standards we help you meet

NIST Cybersecurity Framework
A flexible framework for managing cybersecurity risk that gives manufacturers a common language for assessing and improving security across sites.
IEC 62443
The international series of standards for securing industrial automation and control systems, covering asset owners, integrators and product suppliers.
CMMC and NIST SP 800-171
Defense suppliers handling controlled unclassified information must protect it to 800-171 requirements, verified through the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification.
ITAR and EAR
US export control rules that restrict who may access defense-related and certain controlled technical data, which affects how it is stored and shared.
ISO 27001
The international standard for information security management systems, frequently requested by global customers as evidence of structured security practice.

Our approach

How we work with manufacturing organizations

  1. 1

    See the whole plant

We discover IT and OT assets, map data flows between them and identify the paths an attacker could take from the office network to production.

  2. 2

    Segment and standardize

Plant networks are separated from corporate systems with controlled gateways, and a common identity, endpoint and logging standard is rolled out site by site.

  3. 3

    Monitor IT and OT together

Our 24/7 SOC watches both sides, with playbooks agreed with plant engineers so response never halts a line without approval.

  4. 4

    Prepare for customer audits

We align controls to NIST CSF, IEC 62443 and, where relevant, 800-171, so we prepare you for supplier assessments and certification.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Anything else? Send us a message or ask our assistant.

Can you secure systems we cannot patch?

Yes. We use network segmentation, strict access paths, passive monitoring and compensating controls to reduce risk on legacy controllers and machines that cannot be updated.

Will your work stop production?

No change goes into a plant without engineer sign-off. We use passive discovery in OT environments, schedule work in maintenance windows and always have a rollback plan.

We supply defense customers. Can you help with CMMC?

We identify where controlled unclassified information lives, assess against NIST 800-171, build the gap plan and evidence, and prepare you for a CMMC assessment by an authorized assessor.

Can you support plants on several continents?

Yes. Monitoring and service desk operate globally, and on-site engineering is arranged where your plants need it, with one standard applied everywhere.
