Government
Secure public services that citizens depend on
Public agencies run essential services on tight budgets, legacy systems and growing scrutiny. We help state, local and contractor organizations modernize safely, reach the security baselines their funding and mandates require, and protect citizen data against attackers who increasingly target the public sector.
Sector pressures
What makes IT different here
Ransomware on public services
Cities, counties and agencies have lost permits, payments and emergency systems to ransomware. Limited staff make fast detection and tested recovery critical.
Legacy and aging platforms
Decades-old applications still run core processes. They are costly to secure but cannot simply be switched off.
Layered compliance mandates
A single agency may answer to federal baselines, state programs and criminal-justice rules at once, each with its own documentation demands.
Procurement and budget constraints
Funding cycles and purchasing rules slow modernization. Solutions need clear scope, defensible value and phased delivery.
Regulations & frameworks
The standards we help you meet
- FedRAMP
- The Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program sets a standardized security assessment for cloud services used by federal agencies, based on NIST 800-53 controls.
- StateRAMP
- A state-level program, now operating as part of GovRAMP, that verifies the security of cloud providers serving state and local governments using a model similar to FedRAMP.
- CJIS Security Policy
- The FBI policy governing access to criminal justice information, with requirements for authentication, encryption, audit logging and personnel screening.
- NIST SP 800-53 and 800-171
- 800-53 is the catalog of security and privacy controls for federal systems; 800-171 defines requirements for protecting controlled unclassified information in non-federal systems.
- CMMC
- The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification verifies that defense contractors protect federal contract information and controlled unclassified information at defined levels.
Our approach
How we work with government organizations
- 1
Establish the baseline
We inventory systems and data, determine which mandates apply and measure current controls against NIST 800-53 or 800-171 as appropriate.
- 2
Close the highest risks first
Identity hardening, backup isolation and 24/7 monitoring are put in place early because they address the attacks most likely to disrupt public services.
- 3
Modernize in phases
Legacy applications are secured in place, then migrated to compliant cloud platforms in funded stages, each with defined scope and rollback.
- 4
Document for assessors
System security plans, policies and control evidence are maintained continuously so we prepare you for assessments, authorizations and audits.

Are you FedRAMP authorized or CMMC certified?
No. We do not claim those authorizations. We help agencies and contractors prepare, align to the required controls and work effectively with the assessors who grant them.
Can you help a small municipality with limited budget?
Yes. We scope in phases, start with the controls that most reduce risk, and use shared monitoring and recovery services so smaller bodies are not paying for a private security department.
We are a defense subcontractor. Where do we start?
Start by identifying where controlled unclassified information lives, then assess against NIST 800-171. We build the gap plan, system security plan and evidence you need ahead of a CMMC assessment.
How do you handle CJIS requirements?
We assess authentication, encryption, audit logging and access practices against the CJIS Security Policy, remediate gaps and help document controls for your state compliance review.
